Seven of our 2012 OHIP students presented five projects on our OHIP panel, “Occupational Health Internship Program (OHIP): Students Shaping the Future of OHS,” on October 29, 2012 at the American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA.  The projects and presenters were:

1.      Identifying Hazards in Recycling Operations in Alameda County, CA.  Presenters: Carmen Martinez and Lindsay McCormick

2.      Health Effects Among Current and Former Employees of the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant from Chemical and Radiologic Exposures.  Presenter: Mary Kathryn Fletcher

3.      Addressing Occupational Health in Community Clinics. Presenters: Chloe Green and Jaire Saunders

4.      Workplace Safety Issues Among San Diego Taxi Drivers. Presenter: Roxana Said

5.      Developing Effective Labor/Management Health & Safety Committees Among Metal Manufacturing Industries AND Health and Safety Among Commercial Janitors. Presenter: Tori Crain
