AOEC supports NIOSH through identifying sites for research studies and supporting cross-sector safety and health initiatives. AOEC also routinely updates its list of asthmagens and provides that information to NIOSH.

The International Chemical Workers Union Council (ICWUC)

AOEC provides technical support to ICWUC’s Occupational Safety and Health Team.

The Occupational Health Internship Program (OHIP)

AOEC supports the national pipeline of OESH professionals through a 9-week summer internship program.

The AFL-CIO

AOEC and AFL-CIO work together to place interns on health and safety projects identified by Unions to solve real-world problems.

LOSH trains and educate workers, conduct research and promote collaboration among government officials, employers, unions and the community to improve conditions that are unhealthy for all.

University of California, Berkeley, Labor Occupational Health Program

AOEC works with LOHP to train and build the pipeline of future health professionals in the field of occupational Safety and health through the OHIP Program.

Michigan State University

AOEC and Michigan State University maintain a unique national exposure code and asthmagen database to facilitate standardized data coding.

Migrant Clinicians Network

AOEC works with MCN to link OESH Clinicians with emerging areas of need in high risk occupations.

National Association of Occupational Health Professionals (NAOHP)

NAOHP provides ongoing financial support for AOEC’s OEM-List.
